When asked, girls and boys identify violence against them as a priority issue. Their accounts of their experience of violence are critical to the UN Study on Violence Against Children's accuracy. The International Save the Children Alliance is formulating tools to ensure children's participation in this study, and thereby acknowledging children's powerful capacity to be actors for change.
This publication presents why child participation in the UN Study is important, how to involve children in secondary research and why it is important, the ethical issues in child participation in research and much more.
This publication is also available in French.
